Soundtrack Review: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest (2006)
Posted by Category: POTC, Pirates, Pirates of the CaribbeanThis is a review of the motion picture score for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest by Hans Zimmer. “Zimmer’s refusal to break out…makes this score sail almost as many leagues back as it does forward.” Pirates 2 was heavily disappointing (normally happens to films on the Most Anticiapted Movie EVER list), but that doesn’t always have to spill over to the score. (Cutthroat Island, anyone?). Hans Zimmer, now actually composing instead of being covertly credited (what’s an overproducer?
